Many of you may know that Terry and I participated in the Drumstick Dash for many years. In fact, it was a family tradition. This will be the first year that I will be walking without Terry. On any given night, over 1,600 people in Indianapolis find themselves homeless -- our neighbors, children in our kids' schools, people we see every day in the community...And they need our help.
Wheeler Mission helps men, women, and children facing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. As a non-denominational, Christian, social services organization, Wheeler provides shelter, meals, residential programs, addiction recovery, and other critical programs without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, or religion. Founded in 1893, Wheeler is the oldest continuously operating ministry of its kind in Indiana. With nine locations throughout Indianapolis and Bloomington, it is the largest and most diverse ministry of its kind in the state.
